I was just reading an article about FPS in the Summer Sun, which basically talks about enjoying the summer by playing Airsoft a first person shooter (FPS) game. The article is based out in California in the Bay area and explains how Airsoft is a really inexpensive extreme sport to play. You just need the basic gear and your set to play with other Airsoft enthusiast .

The author of the writers goes in to the details of the sport stating that it’s less painful then playing paintball but as thrilling as playing laser tag. He explains that other then finding an Airsoft gun or rifle, you need camouflage gear and some safety goggles or helmets that can be found at most outdoor surplus stores.  You can pick a variety of camouflage style gear, it depends on where you plan to play or the terrain you are battling at. There are woodland, desert, forest and even digital camouflage gears. Some camouflage gear can get real expensive if they are the authentic but you don’t need that unless you are a real Airsoft player.

Once you have your camo gear the next and most important gear to have is the safety helmet or goggles. When playing Airsoft you are shooting each other with BB that can be fired up to 400 feet per second. Some games has a max FPS you airsoft gun can shoot. Usually spring Airsoft sniper rifles are allow to have a higher FPS because of the distance it need to be shot at. Once you have all your safety gear, you are ready to play the extreme sport of Airsoft!
